I have Never ever been a greatful dead fan, or even remotely interested in Jay Z, but the Spinjunkies remix of Jay Z's Black album with the Greatful dead (entitled Jay Z's Dead) is probably the best remix of any rap record i have ever heard. From the Mix to overall feel, its just simply done so well that i dont think anyone can look down apon it. Rap has hope, and its only hope lies with underground producers providing inovative ways to mix its music. |

ahh so yeah, havent updated in a couple months, figure i was due for a little LJ time. Sorry if i havent contacted you, between school, girlfriend and family, its not that i have much time for anything these days apart from a nice drink on the weekend. Speaking of which i need a beer.

So yeah like i said, school is mad busy, but still wicked awesome. I am now taking Recording and Mixing consoles and working on 3 consoles, a Mackie Digital 8 bus, a sweet SSL and an even sweeter Amek. Yeah its good times. Im also taking a Music History course, to no suprise it too = rock. Got a dartboard recently, so i play that alot now. My hair is ridiculously long, but i have no plans of cutting it. I need a gay guy who will trade a trendy haircut for but sex. Ok maybe not.
I have a new roommate now, after a strange departure with josh. I cant say im unhappy, my new roommate is an insanely cool guy. Ive given up on political debate with liberals until after the election, im sick of the blatent standstill that it always gets too. After all Religion and Politics are the two things that fucked up the world in the first place.
The lack of seeing a good show is starting to get to me, i miss the music and the lakeland folk, but i cant say that i didnt expect things to change once i moved. I would really like to get involved in playing around with recording some live gigs on my mac and eventually putting together a live DVD or CD compilation of some good local music. unfortunately these days there isnt much going on. If anyone is interested, lets talk.
Thats really about it. Hope all is well in the world and you are all keeping on keeping on.

Well i guess its been a while since ive done a full fledged entry... So why not take the chance to do it now. I would like to let everyone know that i am EXTREMELY busy and if for any reason i cant see any of you, please do not take offense. I go to school (average 10 hours, spaced out through the day), go to sleep, then wake up and do it all again. To be honest, it would suck if i wasnt having so much fucking fun at school. The personal life i do have is spent usually getting trashed on fridays or sats, then seeing the lovely girlfriend or mom and dad the day after.
Im hoping to be able to go to the Crayons show next weekend, but i think im helping my brother move that day, so we shall see.
My friend's Phil and Scott have both agreed to join in the fun that is "The Catchy Little Numbers", Phil on drums, Me on guitar and Scott on synth/piano. I cant wait until phil gets his drums in the mail from california, ive been a writing machine lately and im really ready to actually do this thing now.
In other news, i got my Powerbook G4 in the mail today... I guess im a Mac head now... oh well at least i can run pro tools BITCH! |

Ahh well time to update i suppose. Im learning some pretty cool shit in school lately, lots about computers that i didnt know, and apparently in a few months i get to learn all about how to build amps and other musical equipment. I am pretty pumped though because today i found out that George Clinton, yes GEORGE FUCKING CLINTON, of P-Funk, is coming to talk at my school. Fullsail gets alot of cool guests and on monday we can go hear him talk about life and the industry and all for free.
When asked what he will be talking about, my teacher in class said, probably funk and cocaine. i cant say thats probably not true. anywho, in a little more than 5 hours its my b-day. im thinking of buying ciggies at the stroke of midnight. woot |
